Freedom Fighter:

During India's struggle for independence from British rule, Dr. Zakir Hussain became actively involved in the freedom movement. He joined the Indian National Congress in 1923 and worked closely with other prominent leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Maulana Azad. He also played a key role in organizing the famous Salt Satyagraha movement in 1930 and was arrested and imprisoned by the British authorities several times.
